The Supra Returns - With a 6-Speed Manual

The GR Supra has returned, and after much anticipation, enthusiasts can rejoice as Toyota has answered their prayers by offering a manual transmission option for the Supra (3.0 models with a six-cylinder engine). While the Supra may not boast a purely Toyota power plant, its German turbocharged engine borrowed from BMW packs a punch with 382 horsepower, ensuring spirited performance. The addition of the slick-shifting manual transmission enhances driver engagement, even though it sacrifices speed compared to the automatic version. Nevertheless, the Supra's handling prowess shines, particularly on the track, where its capabilities can be fully appreciated.

Visually, the Supra captivates with its striking design, especially when adorned in Nitro Yellow paint, accentuating its compact proportions and sculpted bodywork. The Supra is exclusively offered as a coupe, drawing inspiration from Toyota's sports car heritage with nostalgic styling cues.

Inside heated leather bucket seats offer support during spirited driving but may lack comfort for long journeys, especially for taller occupants. The manual transmission adds a touch of novelty for enthusiasts, considering the dwindling availability of manual-equipped cars.

Priced at $55,650, the Supra delivers a compelling sports car package, though additional options can push the price to $58,865. Fuel efficiency is respectable, with an EPA-rated 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, and real-world driving achieving around 23.8 mpg.

Safety features abound, including pre-collision systems, lane departure alerts, and blind-spot monitoring, ensuring peace of mind during spirited drives.  Most importantly, it comes in a Manual!
